प्रस्तावना

आधुनिक शेती तंत्रज्ञानाची कास धरण्यात श्री. भास्कर सी. काळे (अण्णा) हे नेहमीच अग्रेसर राहिले आहेत. यापूर्वी त्यांनी सौर ऊर्जेवर चालणारा पंप, शेतीतील स्वयंचलन (Automation) आणि आधुनिक ठिबक सिंचन पद्धती आपल्या शेतात यशस्वीरीत्या राबविल्या आहेत. कमी वेळ, मजुरांची बचत आणि कामातील अचूकता साधण्याचा हा प्रयत्न त्यांनी यंदाही कायम ठेवला.

या वेळी त्यांनी उसाच्या पिकावर प्रादुर्भाव करणाऱ्या लोकरी मावा (Woolly Aphid) आणि पाकोळी (पायरिला - Pyrilla) या उपद्रवी किडींच्या प्रभावी नियंत्रणासाठी कृषी ड्रोनच्या (Agri-Drone) साहाय्याने फवारणीचा अभिनव प्रयोग केला. प्रस्तुत लेखात या प्रत्यक्ष प्रात्यक्षिकाचा तपशील, त्यामागील तांत्रिक माहिती, फायदे आणि घ्यावयाची काळजी याविषयी सविस्तर आढावा घेतला आहे.

Introduction

Ratoon sugarcane represents an indispensable component of sugarcane production in Maharashtra. After harvest, rapid root-system regeneration, activation of dormant underground buds, uniform tillering, and early canopy establishment are critical to achieving profitable ratoon yields.

Unlike a newly planted crop, ratoon sugarcane inherits an established root-zone environment along with residual stubble and root biomass. Consequently, management strategies that boost biological activity, nutrient cycling, and root regeneration in the rhizosphere complement standard mineral fertilization and irrigation schedules.

Recent research initiatives at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri, have intensified focus on beneficial microbial consortia. MPKV introduced Phule Super Biomix, an innovative microbial consortium comprising five beneficial fungal species and six bacterial species, formulated in both powder and liquid forms.
